GERRY WEBER stays on growth path in first nine months of 2006/2007
The dynamic growth of GERRY WEBER International AG continued in the third quarter of 2006/2007. With sales up by 12.5 percent and EBIT rising by 23.3 percent in the first nine months of 2006/2007, the fashion and lifestyle company once again confirmed its excellent business trend. “The strong sales growth and the disproportionate increase in profitability show that we are excellently positioned to reach our targets for the current fiscal year: EUR 500 million in sales and a double-digit EBIT margin”, said CEO Gerhard Weber. “The 14.8 percent increase in incoming orders for the first two collections of the spring/summer 2008 season also shows that we stay on the growth path.” Orders for the GERRY WEBER brand rose by 17.4 percent to EUR 144.0 million, which is the highest increase in the history of the company. Incoming orders for the younger label TAIFUNCollection, were up 12.5 percent to EUR 50.4 million, while SAMOON-Collection, the brand for plus sizes, reported an increase of approximately 3 percent to EUR 14.5 million.

Results for H1 2006/2007 support sales and earnings projections for the full year
GERRY WEBER International AG continued the positive trend of the first three months of 2006/2007 also in the second quarter of the current fiscal year (ending October 31). In the first half of the fiscal year 2006/2007, the fashion and lifestyle company reported a 12.5 percent increase in sales and a 13.8 percent rise in EBIT as compared to the previous year. These figures impressively highlight the company’s sales and earnings projections for the full year. “We have set ourselves clear targets for 2006/2007 sales of EUR 500 million and a double-digit EBIT margin”, said Gerhard Weber, Chairman of the Managing Board. “The excellent results of the first six months show that we have done our homework. With incoming orders for the 3rd programme up by 23.2 percent and total orders for the three programmes of the Autumn/Winter collection up by 14.5 percent, the second half of the year will certainly be equally successful.”

Growth momentum continues in Q1 2006/2007
GERRY WEBER International AG has successfully completed its strategic transformation into an international lifestyle company and systems supplier; strong sales and earnings growth in the first quarter of fiscal 2006/2007 (October 31) demonstrates that this strategy was right. In the first quarter of 2006/2007, GERRY WEBER International AG boosted its sales by 10.5 percent to EUR 106.4 million.

GERRY WEBER reports record sales and earnings for 2005/2006
In fiscal 2005/2006 (ending 31 October), GERRY WEBER International AG generated the highest sales and earnings in the history of the company. Sales increased 13.6 percent from the previous year’s EUR 389.6 million to EUR 442.8 million. The international fashion and lifestyle company achieved 7 percent growth in Germany and over 20 percent growth abroad. Incoming orders for spring/summer 2007, which exceed the previous year’s level by far, indicate that this growth continues. Orders for the third seasonal programme are up by 28.5 percent across all brands. The company’s retail activities, which were the fastest-growing segment in 2005/2006, will be pushed ahead with some 70 new store openings in the current fiscal year.
